AQUARIUM SERVICE TECHNICIAN EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES 

 

As an Aquarium Service Technician with Dallas Aquarium Experts, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning Aquarium Service Technician with Dallas Aquarium Expertsfreshwater, saltwater and reef tank aquariums for commercial and residential clients in North Dallas and the surrounding areas. You would be joining a cooperative team that is passionate about all things fish-related and motivated by helping others who appreciate the joys of having an aquarium in their business or home.

Hours are 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday.

Pay range is $16 – $20 per hour depending upon applicable experience. Weekend work may be required on a very rare occasion, with advance notice. This is an in-person, on-site position.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Applicant must enjoy working on aquariums
  • Experience with keeping tropical freshwater aquariums, marine fish, coral and invertebrates
  • Applicant must possess a thorough knowledge of disease recognition, daily aquarium husbandry, food preparation, nutrition, and water quality necessary for tropical specimens
  • The ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds is necessary, must be able to lift and carry 5-gallon jugs weighing 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Environmental Science or related field, or several years’ experience maintaining aquariums is desired
  • Maintain a current and valid Texas driver’s license – this team member will be driving a company van on a daily basis
  • Pass random drug testing and a criminal background check
